Independent service: bmicalculatornhs.net is an independent UK health-information website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of NHS England. Our tools are built around publicly available NHS and NICE guidance.

This policy explains what information is collected when you use bmicalculatornhs.net and how it is used. The short version: anything you type into our calculators stays in your browser — we do not receive, store, or see your health inputs.

Calculator inputs stay on your device

Our BMI and health calculators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The height, weight, age, and other values you enter are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with us. Closing or refreshing the page discards them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (for example, which pages are popular and how visitors reach the site). Analytics collects pseudonymous information such as device type, approximate location, and pages viewed. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's analytics opt-out tools or your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Advertising

We display adverts served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings.

This site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Child-related calculators on this site (for example, growth-chart tools) also process inputs locally in the browser.
